We are not sure yet. Just too nice of an engine to let go. We have a small block ready but you never know. If we small block the 58, Coreys truck will get the 454. It should run real good after you take it out of that 2 1/2 ton truck and into something lighter.

You guys south of the river never cease to amaze me,take a prefectly good truck and cut it up but since the damage is done I might be interested in the trailer hitch since the frame is the same width as my 66 F250.

Steve, are you still needing help with the truck bed tomorrow? You had asked for help after the meeting. So since the meeting is canceled I didn't know if you had moved this event too.

It's going to help out alot of people. I need an engine and trans and they are known good ones. Corey wants the doors. I'm also using the AC stuff. Joe is getting the bed and some other stuff. Randy is getting the frame to make a roll back for his old International and I have some other stuff sold to non club members. Truck is worth more in parts than to sell outright. I'm not into the cash but helping out friends is a good thing. Ripping a good truck is no big deal when it comes to a Chevy. I can get another and it will be just as good. I know you Ford guys have to search and search but it's easy to come across a good running Chevy. There is one on every block. Very Happy

Yea right!!!!! Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes There is no reason to part a ford out they run so long it takes forever to wear out!!! The reason there's more fords than chevys is the chevy's rust away and why would you part out perfection!!!! afro

You see them on every corner since they are usually too rusted up to use,of course its worth more in parts since there are not too many good ones left.

There is not much left off a 73 to 87 GM truck either, the body is gone and the motor is too with a bad cam but there might be a good trans and rear end but thats it.

LOL you guys are funny..
Jeff I drove your Ford truck through Doug's new yard when we moved him. He flipped about what he called over loading your truck where my old Chevy would have lugged twice as much without any concern. I had a time getting it over the lip of the garage that was only a few inches hi. That boat achor of a 460 didn't have enough power to to drive over it. I had to get a small run to get over it. I don't want to hear anything about Chevy engines being weak. I drove that Ford. That 460 would come out and a 350 SBC would go right in there and run 100% better.
Dog you are mixed up too. You don't see them Ford anymore. They are all in the junk yards or sitting in the fields. The new ones don't tickle me either. Dogs $40k + new Ford truck took a spanking from red light to red light. The ol' 454, 2 1/2 ton truck sucked the paint off that new Ford truck while dragging my 3500 pound firebird behind it. Dog what did you have on yours? Roof and 1/4's from that Chevelle? LOL Stuff like that is why I don't drive a Ford. I want something that will run. Laughing You guys don't get your panties in a bunch. I'm only joking with ya but really drive a Chevy a few times and you will get rid of those old broke down Fords. Laughing

Id rather push my ford than drive a rustoley i have owned both trucks chevy and ford and the chevy i had i wouldn't ever want back it was a pos. And it wasn't as old as the ford i got now after it breaking down in batavia ohio at my work 3 days in a row i sold it to the first guy that gave me a 1000 for it. I hated that truck 1974 chevy cheyane with all the toys on it . I got tired real quick of bumming ride back home with ford owners and getting razzed about that POS chevy !!!! Funny thing though i havent had to bum a ride since i been driveing my FORDS!!!! even when the 64 heated up at rabbit hash cruize it still made it home and the motor is still good! So CHEVY BOY YOU CAN KEEP THEM and if your on the side of the road let me know ill still give you a ride out of pitty!!! Razz

Nah if we can't joke around with each other without having a problem then there are bigger problems than Ford v/s Chevy here. Everyone knows it is all in fun. Just like Dog teasing me about breaking my tailgate in my Chevy. Why? Because we were doing a burnout and slung a junk old 460 Ford engine through my tail gate. I was beating on my hinges with the only tool I had in the truck, a pickel fork. Good thing Dog was there in his nice new truck that never breaks down because he had a full tool case and we was able to fix that tailgate that boat anchor busted off. Why did you have them tools in that Ford that never breaks down again? Shocked Laughing Oh Good times, good times....

Didn't we go though this with Chad. That is why Ford has those heated tailgates. So when you push them in the winter your hands don't get too cold. Laughing
