Road trip to grab the 33

Just thought I'd post a few pics of our trip. Vickers and myself loaded up and took off down Double A. We were on the other side of Maysville and stopped to get something to eat. While eating a guy walked by and screamed what are you doing down here. LOL.. It was a guy from some of the cruise ins we did this summer. I don't mind talking to people but it did strike me funny that we ran into someone we knew way down there.
We made the 3 hour drive and the body was off the frame and ready to be loaded.



We talked with the guys down there for a while about hot rods and went to some guys barn to check out a custom frame that some guy made and had a pretty good time hanging out with some of those guys. They all worked on and had hot rods so it wasn't too bad.
We took off and grabbed some more gas before going oover the bridge into Ohio. We ran the Ohio side down the river for a ways. We ran across this guys personal garage and took a few pics.

Don't ask. LOL

We left there and floated back across the river.

We ran Rt 8 all the way back home. We did run into this guy and talked to him. The truck was cool but a little too rat rodded for me.

One thing I like was the big door. It looked out of place but then explained that he was hadicaped and couldn't get in the door. He cut away the back section on the side and welded it to the door to make it big enough to get in. You can't keep a hot rodder down.

glad to see the trip went well,wish I could have went.(you know how that goes when your married) that old truck looks wild is that a ford emblem I see,smart guy being handicap put a chevy motor in it to make sure he would make it back home.

Man, the old Ford COE in the bay of that old gas station would sure make a cool ramp truck to haul a hot rod around with.
