Be careful out there.
Be careful out there for the ones that are dealing with this cold snap. I don't think I have seen the temp drop this fast in a long time.

Re: Be careful out there.
I have to go to work sometime after the snow stops, probably start work around 4AM or 5AM actities at work tomorrow means I have to go in and clear and salt the sidewalks and steps and salt all the lots after they are cleared. Not looking forward to the cold. I think i need to take Chris up on'his offer and go for a visit.

Just a normal winter event and nothing to get exited about,I can not believe how people get worked up over a little snow.

I'm with you. I spent two years out in Vail Col. Had a job carving ice. Now they had some snow. Sometimes they would get an inch or two an hour for 24 hours straight.junkyardjeff wrote:Just a normal winter event and nothing to get exited about,I can not believe how people get worked up over a little snow.

Re: Be careful out there.
We had a discussion with a customer at work yesterday and came up with the conclusion that the grocery stores and gas companies pay the news people to get the idiots in a frenzy to buy up all the food and fill up their tanks in case someone has to stay at home for a couple hours.

It's the same thing here when the weather man says that there is a hurricane way out at sea, and one of 800 models show it could come near Florida. Then every one runs out and buys up all the gas, food, and plywood. But it's a good way to get a deal on a generator, because after nothing happens Craigs list is full of them.

85 and sunny, went to the car show, not to big but all nice cars. After that we took the kids to Daytona Beach to play in the ocean. Then we had dinner on the pier, all in all a great day.

Re: Be careful out there.
I used to hear on the news about stores not having enough snow shovels,do the idiots throw them out in the summer and rush to buy them when the first snow flake is seen. I have two shovels, one is over 30 years old and the other I had for about 15 years.

Re: Be careful out there.
Do the people who live in hurricane prone areas throw out or burn the plywood after each hurricane,I would have a place to store it and have it marked to which window it was to cover.

Re: Be careful out there.
A few years back Amy and I were driving down the street when a group of teenagers started throwing snowballs at Amy's Toyota. they hit it so hard it sounded like they crushed the door in. I slammed on the brakes and started backing up. They started throwing more. I knew they would run but I jumped out anyway. Chased them past their snow pile where they had a nice new snow shovel sitting there. Make a long story short I shoveled my drive with that nice new shovel yesterday.junkyardjeff wrote:I used to hear on the news about stores not having enough snow shovels,do the idiots throw them out in the summer and rush to buy them when the first snow flake is seen.
