Post by hotrodaaron77 January 20th 2011, 2:48 am

First you take off the hood and nose, core support The Phoenix P7270112 Then you take off the fenders and support the body. There is 6 bolts that hold the front clip on, pull front clip straight out.The Phoenix P7280115 This is a good time to work on your firewall ie other parts that would be hard to reach. The Phoenix P7270109 Slide new clip back in making sure you measure and center your front clip, The Phoenix P7280116 I used the center of the back frame bolts to the center of the front frame bolts, then put back together The Phoenix P7070005

The guy I got the car off off dropped in a 30 over 455 which he went straight ahead and pulled it out to see what it would do. He then ran it straight into a ditch, back out and came to a crashing stop. It bent the front frame rails. I worked on it enough to get the dog house back on it and you couldn't tell it was ever wrecked. But the frame was bent.

When i pulled the motor, the mounts for the motor were even off, and would not line up, if I had any pics of the motor then Rebstew had made a carb plate that centered the scoop in the middle of the cowl hood, and kept everything in line , Of course when the hood flew off and I put the shaker back on I always had problems untill I put that new clip in, sucky part is its off a 76 so my springs are not as stiff, i changed my steering box off the old clip but left the rest alone, Did anybody know besides Rebstew that calipers and brakes are different sizes on a 76 than a 77 ,I didnt till I made a couple trip back and forth from autozone.[quote]

ok I started the car and moved it from one side of the driveway to the other, I have ordered my fuel line off ebay got it for 15 bucks steve if you still need one i would check this place out, let me know and I will get you the address, so after having this car for so long I think I am to attached to the inner parts, it is burning up outside so I got the three sockets and ratchet I needed I ran outside while my neighbor was standing outside and had him help me with the hood, after that i went around the fenders and nose and took all the bolts out, in 27 min I had the car looking like this,,,,The Phoenix P1,,,The Phoenix P2,,,The Phoenix P4,,,The Phoenix P3,,, time to go in for a pepper next tackle the intake and manifolds fingers crossed no bolts break
